A one day experience exploring how different viewpoints can strengthen your business and improve the events you organise, exhibit at or attend.
For as long as I can remember, I have never thought in straight lines. Everything I do, explore or make decisions about is considered from more than one perspective.
At times, this can be exhausting. But there is also real power in being able to look at situations from different viewpoints and use what I notice to get more from whatever I am doing.
Events bring together people with very different intentions. Organisers are focused on delivering a successful event, exhibitors and sponsors want to achieve a return on their investment, and attendees arrive with their own set of expectations for what they want to experience or gain.
When those aims are not understood or aligned, it is no surprise that things don't always go to plan and people leave feeling as though it was a bad event.
With From A Different Perspective, I want to open up this experience to a small group of 12 people.
Together, we will explore how looking at things differently can support you in your business and help bridge the gap between those who organise events, those who support them through exhibiting or sponsoring, and the attendees without whom the event would not exist.
I would love to have you in the room with us, and I have something rather special planned for the afternoon too.

This event brings delegates, networkers, exhibitors, sponsors and organisers together to share their experiences and help improve events for everyone.
This is for you if you:
• attend, organise or exhibit at events
• are new to events and want to become more involved
• have had an event experience that left you disappointed
• care about making events better for others
• feel there is a disconnect between the event and the people attending it
• want to reflect on how you show up and get more from events
• want your experiences and ideas to be heard
Whether you are completely new to events or have years of experience, your perspective has value. There will always be something new to notice, question or consider.
By the end of the day, you will have a clearer understanding of how you currently approach events and how that affects the experience you have and create for others.
You will leave with:
• greater insight into the perspectives of delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and organisers
• more confidence in how you show up at events
• a better understanding of your own habits, strengths and areas for improvement
• practical changes you can make before, during and after an event
• new ideas shaped by the experiences and viewpoints shared in the room
The aim is for you to leave with more than just things to think about. You will have clear actions you can use to improve your future event experiences, whatever role you are in.
